The successful implementation of a Coordinated Access system relies on effective communication with the Homelessness Support System. In the Region of Durham, one component of this strategy involves relevant sector meetings which seek to engage system partners and stakeholders at all levels to provide robust input and planning on Coordinated Access. The Durham Advisory Committee on Homelessness (DACH) reviews any changes or updates to the Coordinated Access System and By-Name List before changes are implemented. Meetings may also be held with Community Access Points, Housing Placement agencies, or any other partner agencies in relation to their roles and responsibilities in the Coordinated Access System, as required.

DACH: The Durham Advisory Committee on Homelessness (DACH) provides an opportunity for organizations and other homelessness service funders to share information about resources, identify service needs, and provide feedback to the Regional Council on the implementation of At Home in Durham.  More information to link to, including their mandate, Terms of Reference, and meeting minutes can be found here: DACH.

DARHN

DARHN:  DARHN stands for the Durham At-Risk Housing Network. There is the recognition that issues of homelessness require input from frontline workers of Durham Region whose client base is at-risk housing. This being said, membership is open to all service providers working in the Durham Region who provide outreach services. Specifically, membership is sought out from agencies working directly with homeless individuals including but not limited to youth, aboriginal peoples, women fleeing family violence, the elderly, and those with mental health or addictions service needs. As a network, we aim to improve the quality of life for clients as well as enhance housing and homelessness initiatives in Durham Region.
