Services Open
- First Light Foundation of Hope will be open for Breakfast on Monday, April 10th.
- The Ajax HUB will be open on Good Friday between 10am – 2pm for showers and lunch. Closed on Saturday and open as usual on Easter Monday (8:30am – 4:00pm)
- Doors of Compassion and the Ajax Respite Centre will provide regular 24/7 service based on bed availability will be open as usual including Sunday from 12 pm – 2 pm
- Salvation Army Oshawa Thrift Store will remain open on Easter Saturday only. Other services are closed as below.
- DARS (serving west Durham) will be available all weekend. Anyone needing immediate assistance can call us at +1 (289) 314-2261.
- Mission United – Back Door Mission will operate on a weekend schedule for Friday, April 7, Saturday April 8, and Monday April 10th – open 10am-1pm, for meals, pre-scheduled medications and Harm Reduction supplies. Please note Sunday meals will no longer be served beginning on April 9th.
- Durham Outlook for the Needy is open as usual for Supper on weekdays and for lunch on Sunday, April 9th from 12 – 2 pm.
- Ajax Public Library (all branches) will be open:
- April 8: 9:30am-5pm
- April 9: 11am-5pm
- April 11: 9:30am-9pm
- The AIDS Committee of Durham Region (ACDR) will be open at their location at 115 Simcoe St. South in Oshawa to provide Harm Reduction Supplies on Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Services Closed
- First Light Foundation of Hope will be closed for Breakfast on Friday, April 7th.
- Gate 3:16 will be closed on Friday, April 7th and Monday, April 10th.
- The CHPI program at Community Living Durham North will be closed the Friday and Monday of the Easter weekend.
- Whitby Public Library will be closed April 7, 9 and 10.
- Salvation Army Ajax will be closed on Monday, April 10th
- Salvation Army Oshawa we will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday for the whole weekend, reopening on Tuesday, April 11.
- Victim Services Durham Region will be closed both the Friday and Monday, on call to police 24/7 both days.
- Mission United – Back Door Mission Clinic all regular weekday services will be closed on Friday, April 7 and Monday April 10. Weekend service schedules will be in effect for Friday, Saturday, and Monday. No services will be provided on Sunday, April 9th.
- The Refuge is closed Friday, April 7th to Monday, April 10th inclusive; reopening as usual on April 11th.
- Ajax Public Library (all branches) closed on April 7 (Good Friday) and April 10 (Easter Monday)
